Intranatal care refers to the preventive and protective care during pregnancy. Intranatal care is of extreme importance for the safe ending of the pregnancy. The main aspects are creating a physically, psychologically and emotionally supportive environment for a safe delivery.

It emphasises on safe  and hygienic procedures.
